Orin fan manual speed control

jtop tool installation

Note: The jtop tool has been installed using the orin super image provided by Yabo Intelligence, so there is no need to install it again

Using the NVIDIA official image, you can manually enter the following command in the terminal to install it:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install python3-pip -y
sudo pip3 install -U jetson-stats

Manually release system fan resources

Enter the following command in the terminal:

sudo tee /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone8/policy <<< user_space

Run the jtop tool

Enter the following command in the terminal to start jtop:

xxxxxxxxxx
jtop

Enter the jtop configuration interface and set the fan to manual mode：

Use the mouse to select 6CTRL to enter the fan parameter setting interface

Use the mouse to select the manaul mode in the figure above, click the + icon to increase the speed, and click the - key to decrease the speed.

Exit jtop interface

Press the q key on your keyboard to exit

If the fan speed ratio cannot be fixed according to the above steps, we just need to repeat the command, then enter the jtop interface to set the fan to manual mode, and then adjust the speed.

sudo tee /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone8/policy <<< user_space

Note: After the system restarts, the fan will return to automatic mode. Manual mode requires you to repeat the above steps manually
