UniFlash Program Download (Serial Download)

1. Download UniFlash

Search for uniflash on the official website to download. You can also get it from our online disk materials.

Download address: UNIFLASH Software programming tool | TI.com

Select the version that supports your development environment. My development environment is Win10, so I choose to download the Windows version installer.

2. Install UniFlash

• Double-click the downloaded uniflash_sl.x.exe file

• Click NEXT

• Select your installation path

• Click NEXT to start installation

• Select to create desktop shortcut. Installation complete.

3. Install CH340 Serial Driver

CH340 driver download address: CH341SER.ZIP - Nanjing Qinheng Microelectronics Co., Ltd.

The serial driver installation steps are relatively simple. Just double-click SETUP.EXE in the installation package and click "Install".

As shown in the figure below, the installation was successful.

Turn on the power, connect the MSPM0 motherboard to the computer via USB. Open Device Manager. There should be a port showing CH340 (COMX, X is the port number).

4. Open UniFlash and Set Parameters

Double-click UniFlash 8.8.1 to open.

In the New Configuration search box, search for MSPM0G3507 and select the MSPM0G3507 that supports serial download.

Simply use a TYPE-C data cable to connect to the TYPE-C interface on the development board.

In the Program section, select the binary file generated by the code. It supports .hex and .bin files. Manually enter the serial port number of the device and select baud rate 9600.

In the Settings & Utilities section's erase settings, select Erase main memory only.

5. Flash Program

After connecting the development board to the computer, press and hold the BSL button (PA18 button), then press the RST button for about 1 second and release it, then release the BSL button. This enters download mode.

After entering download mode, click Load image to download.

Note: The download must be completed within 10 seconds after the development board enters download mode; otherwise, the download will fail.

When the same error message as shown in the figure below appears: Image loading falled: Try manual Bootloader invocation..., it has actually been downloaded successfully. This is a bug in the download software.

6. Common Problems

1. Download error: Image loading falled: Try manual Bootloader invocation...

Answer: This is a bug in the download software. It has actually been downloaded.

2. Download error: Image loading failed: Flash Generic, Loading lmages... Error: -9

Answer: The chip has not entered download mode. Keep holding the BSL (PA18) button, then press the RST button for about 1 second and release, then release the BSL (PA18) button. This should enter download mode.

3. Download error: Image loading failed: Flash Generic, Loading lmages... Error: -6

Answer: The wrong download port is selected or the port is occupied. You can check the current port number of MSPM0 in Device Manager, then manually enter it in the COM Port field.

4. Download error: Image loading failed: Flash Generic, Loading lmages... Error. -3

Answer: The program being flashed cannot be in a Chinese path. It must be placed in an English path.

5. Download error: Image loading failed: Flash Generic, Loading lmages... Error. -1

Answer: An occasional event. Just flash again.
