vm:Ubuntu20.04

1.Virtual Machine Installation

Open the browser, enter the following URL to enter the VMware Player virtual machine software download page, and click download:

https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player.html

Double click to run the VMware software file, and then follow the prompts to install the virtual machine software.

If the following prompt appears on the computer, we choose to restart the computer.

Double click again to run the VMware software file, and then follow the prompts to install the virtual machine software.

Check "I accept License" and click "Next".

Double click on the shortcut in the following image to open the virtual machine software.

2. Virtual Machine Usage

Find a drive with more than 40GB of remaining space on your computer and unzip the virtual machine files provided by Yahboom.

After extract, you will receive a folder containing many files, as shown in the following figure.

After installing the VMware Workstation virtual machine, double-click to open it and enter the interface shown in the figure.

Click [Open Virtual Machine]

Find the path where the virtual machine files we have decompressed are located, and select the Ubuntu 20.04 yahboom.vmx file, as shown in the following figure.

Select the name of the VM system file and click play virtual machine, as shown below.

If the prompt shown in the figure below appears, select "I Copied It"

Wait for the virtual machine to start. If a password is required, please enter 【yahboom】

After the virtual machine is successfully started, we can see the screen shown in the following figure.

3. Virtual Machine Settings

Before starting, we can edit the virtual machine settings.

As shown in the figure below, click on [Edit Virtual Machine Settings]

The system will pop up the Virtual Machine Settings dialog box as shown in the following figure.

It can be set according to the actual situation of each computer.

The higher the virtual machine memory setting, the faster the virtual machine runs, but do not exceed the maximum memory.

Processor: The more cores (c) each processor has, the smoother the virtual machine runs, but not exceeding the total number.

USB controller: USB compatibility is set to 【 USB 3.1 】, so USB 3.0 devices can be used.
