2. Connecting the USB Wireless Controller to the Robot
2.1. Install USB Wireless Controller Batteries
Please open the battery cover on the back of the USB wireless controller, then install two AAA batteries into the battery compartment as shown in the figure below, and then close the battery cover.

2.2. Insert the USB Wireless Controller Receiver
The following picture shows the receiver of the USB wireless controller:

Please insert the USB wireless controller receiver into the USB port of the motherboard. As shown in the picture below.

2.3. Turn on the USB Wireless Controller's Power
Please turn the power switch at the bottom of the USB wireless controller to ON to turn on the power. If you are not using it for a long time, please turn it to the OFF position to save power.

2.4. Connect to the Robot
Then turn on the robot's power switch and wait for the robot to start up. The startup process takes about 1-2 minutes. After startup, there will be a buzzer sound prompt.
Continuously short press the [START] button of the USB wireless controller. If you hear the robot's buzzer beep, it means the connection is successful.
Note:
A: Since the USB wireless controller needs to pair with the USB receiver, please avoid having multiple receivers present at the same time during connection, otherwise interference may occur, and it may connect to other receivers.
B: Explanation of the USB wireless controller indicator light status:
When the USB wireless controller indicator light is off, it means the controller is off or in sleep mode. Confirm that the controller power is normal and turned on, press the [START] button to wake up the controller.

When the USB wireless controller indicator light is flashing, it means it is not connected to the USB controller receiver. Please confirm whether the USB controller receiver is correctly inserted into the robot's USB port.
When the USB wireless controller indicator light is only red, it means it has been connected to the USB controller receiver.
3. Controlling the Robot
After a successful connection, you can control the robot with the controller according to the function introduction in [USB Wireless Controller Button Introduction].
Note:
A: The robot APP control program includes the controller control program, and it starts automatically by default when the power is turned on. The USB wireless controller in this course is effective only when the APP program is started.
B: The USB wireless controller will automatically enter sleep mode if it is not operated for a period of time. At this time, you can press the START button to wake up the controller.
4. Manually Start the Controller Control Program
If the APP control program is not started and you want to use the USB wireless controller to control the robot separately, you can run the following command to open the USB wireless controller control program:
python3 ~/muto/app_muto/joystick.py
