1. Course Content

Course Overview

• Based on skills, write response strategies for specific scenarios, enabling OpenClaw to proactively provide solutions when facing unexpected situations

• This section is a scenario-oriented solution design course. It is recommended to complete the prerequisite courses 【OpenClaw Basic Course】【OpenClaw Interaction Method】【OpenClaw Skills Development】first

2. Preparation

• Start the MCP service

ros2 launch yahboomcar_bringup mcp_service.launch.py use_camera:=true

• If you need voice replies, you need to add the use_tts parameter: ros2 launch yahboomcar_bringup mcp_service.launch.py use_camera:=true use_tts:=true, otherwise it can be omitted

3. Create a New Skill

• Refer to 【OpenClaw Skills Development】 to create a response strategy skill for special situations, and enable the skill

## Production Workshop Color Material Stockout Handling Plan
- Proactively provide solutions to users through inquiry, and the corresponding response strategy must be executed only after user confirmation
- For example, when observing that a certain color material quantity is less than 2, it is determined that the material is in shortage
## Plan One: Replenish from Raw Material Warehouse Shelves
## Plan Two: Go to the storage area and use different color materials of the same specification for replenishment

Parameter Description:

• name: The skill name, serving as a unique identifier. OpenClaw identifies and loads the skill by this name

• description: The skill function description. The AI model determines when to call this skill based on this description. In this example, the skill is automatically triggered when a material shortage is detected during an inspection task

• version: The version number, used to track iterative updates of the skill

• Body part: Write the handling strategy in Markdown format, including the trigger condition (such as "when the material quantity is less than 2, it is determined to be a shortage") and specific response plans (Plan One/Plan Two). OpenClaw will proactively provide handling suggestions according to the process defined in the body

• After creation, restart the OpenClaw gateway to take effect

4. Case Demonstration

• Here, OpenClaw will proactively provide handling suggestions based on the actual observed situation combined with the skill requirements. The same situation does not require users to issue commands repeatedly each time. Proactive interaction is often used to record some decisions and methods as skills or OpenClaw memories, so that OpenClaw can proactively provide solutions based on past experience when encountering similar situations later

• For example, if OpenClaw does not execute a task as required, you can ask OpenClaw to note this rule down so that the previous rule can be reused in subsequent tasks

• Example:

  • In this demonstration, OpenClaw called multiple tools in parallel when executing actions. Requiring OpenClaw to execute actions strictly in serial will cause OpenClaw to record the rule in AGENTS.md or the memory document so that the rule can be reused when encountering similar tasks later
