1. Course Content

  • Understand and master the basic operations and functions of Dify.

2. Dify Commands and Auto-Start

  • Start Dify

bringup_dify

image-20251218112736396

  • Shut down Dify

xxxxxxxxxx
off_dify

image-20260912173203077

Important

  • In subsequent chapters, when Dify is needed, you must first start Dify; this will not be repeated in every subsequent chapter

  • If you do not want to manually start Dify every time, you can set auto-start on boot. After finishing the lessons in the Dify chapter, turn off the auto-start on boot, because Dify occupies the mainboard's memory and CPU resources in the background.

  • Set Dify to auto-start on boot

xxxxxxxxxx
robot_manage gui

image-20260912173845549

  • Start the Dify container, and the Dify service will start automatically on subsequent boots

xxxxxxxxxx

  • Turn off Dify auto-start on boot

3. Management Page

  • Check the car's IP address, which can be viewed on the OLED screen, via ifconfig, or directly in the terminal.

image-20251219152741615

  • Enter the car's IP address directly in the browser's address bar to access the Dify management page. If the device is logging in for the first time, you need to use an account and password; you can select the language in the upper left corner.

Note

  • Account: yahboom@163.com

  • Password: yahboom123

  • All account passwords, agent applications, and RAG data are locally stored information.

  • The main Dify interface is shown below.

image-20251219152926974

4. Basic Usage

Tip

  • If you need to use the cloud AI models of a model provider, please make sure the car is connected to the Internet.

4.1 Switching the Dify Management Page Language

  • Generally, the Dify page follows the browser language after opening. If you need to switch manually, you can switch the language in Settings.

image-20251219163616608

image-20251219163458335

4.2 Switching the Agent Reply Language (International Region Users Only)

  • In the subsequent 【AI Model - Voice Version】 and 【AI Model - Text Version】 chapter lessons, replies are in Chinese by default. If you need to use English replies, refer to the following method for configuration.

xxxxxxxxxx
robot_manage gui
  • After setting, click Save Configuration for it to take effect.

image-20260918154911301

4.3 Integrating Model Provider Services

  • Dify has built-in model interface plugins for different model providers. These plugins are maintained and upgraded by their respective model providers. We can install the plugin of the corresponding model provider to quickly integrate cloud models from different vendors.

  • Click Plugins in the upper left of the home page —> Explore Marketplace —> Models to enter the model interface plugin page.

image-20251219153621658

  • Here, take installing and configuring the DeepSeek plugin as an example. The method for other plugins is the same; just click Install.

image-20251219153950145

  • Then, in Settings page's Model Provider, fill in the API-KEY applied for on the corresponding platform. If the API-KEY is available, the APIKEY of the corresponding plugin will show a green light.

Tip

  • For more detailed API-KEY configuration steps and methods to test the API-KEY, refer to the previous chapter's 6. Configuring API-KEY.

image-20251219154216240

4.4 Switching the Access Model of an AI Application

  • For already-developed AI agent applications, you can quickly switch between different models to test their effects. Here, take multi_brains, the core agent of the ROSMASTER-M1 Pro, as an example. Open the agent application on the home page.

image-20260912172315669

  • Among them are three core AIs: task routing, decision-layer AI, and execution-layer AI.

image-20260912172416243

  • Here, take switching the decision-layer AI as an example. Open the Decision-Layer AI card and pull down in the model selection bar to switch models from different providers.

  • Note: qwen-vl-max will be discontinued in October 2026; when using it, you need to switch to another visual large model.

image-20260912172557368

  • There, we can also fine-tune the model's reply effect parameters. The detailed function of each parameter can be viewed by hovering the mouse over it.

  • Taking the temperature parameter as an example:

xxxxxxxxxx
Used to control the degree of randomness and diversity. The temperature value controls the degree of smoothing applied to the probability distribution of each candidate word when generating text. A higher temperature value reduces the peak of the probability distribution, making more low-probability words more likely to be selected and the generated results more diverse; a lower temperature value enhances the peak of the probability distribution, making high-probability words more likely to be selected and the generated results more deterministic.

Tip

  • Beginners can generally use the default parameters without adjustment.

image-20251219160709813

  • Note that after modifying an AI application, you need to click Publish —> Publish Update to save the changes.

image-20251219161836322

Warning

Note

  • For the execution-layer model, because it needs to process images, only multimodal models can be selected (visual models have a special symbol marker, as shown in the figure below).

  • The task routing and decision-layer models have no restrictions on the model.

  • For task routing, a small-parameter model can be selected to improve response speed.

5. Account Settings

Note

The Dify account is locally stored information with no privacy risk. An administrator account is preset at the factory. If you need to modify the account information, refer to this part of the tutorial.

  • Click the avatar in the upper right —> Account.

image-20251219164351665

  • The account information is as follows; you can modify the information as needed.

image-20251219164407372

  • If you need to log out, click the avatar again to log out.

image-20251219164539030

6. Development Documentation

  • For users who later have in-depth development needs, you can view more detailed development documentation. Click the avatar in the upper right —> View Help Documentation.

image-20251219164746533

  • Then the Dify online development documentation page will open, and you can select and view documentation of different content in the drop-down list on the left.
